JAFFARABAD: Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad Abdul Razzaq Khajak has said that further delay in release of water from Sindh may lead to water crisis in the district therefore people are advised to use water carefully and avoid wastage of water.
Talking to a delegation led by Haji Abdul Khaliq Khosa, former president of Dera Allahyar Itehad, a civic alliance that called on him here on Monday, he said that water was stored in PHE ponds one month before the stoppage of flow which is now running out.
He said that load shedding is a nationwide problem but QESCO officials have been given clear instructions to end unannounced load shedding in the district. Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad Abdul Razzaq Khajak further said that no load shedding was made during Sehri and Iftar in the holy month of Ramadan. The Deputy Commissioner informed the delegation that he has spoken to the Sindh authorities for early release of water from Sindh and apprised them of the water situation in district Jaffarabad.
