QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Monday has directed the authorities concerned to immediately set up infrastructure for setting up of corona virus testing laboratories in divisional and district hospitals so that early commencement of corona virus testing at district level could be ensured.
Stressing on the need for testing laboratories at District and Divisional Headquarter Hospitals, the Chief Minister reviewed the prevailing situation of Corona virus during a high-level meeting.
During the review meeting, the spread of the virus and issues related to the availability of emergency facilities in hospitals were discussed. CM directed that the decision taken during the meeting should be implemented in letter and spirit so that the positive results of these decisions can be seen.
The meeting once again appealed to the people expressing concern over the increasing trend of the spread of the virus in Quetta city. In order to ensure implementation of all other precautions, including the use of masks, the meeting decided that strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the public interest would not be avoided.
Important decisions were also made and relevant agencies were directed to implement them. The meeting also directed the PDMA to launch a nutrition program for people infected with corona virus who are isolated in their homes and unable to use a balanced diet to strengthen the immune system.
The provision of food package was also reviewed, the meeting was informed that the implementation of the program will be started soon and such persons will be included in the program on the provision of their data by contacting the PDMA control room.
Provincial Ministers Mir Zahoor Buledi, Mir Saleem Khosa, Chief Secretary Fazil Asghar, IG Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Health Secretary Dostain Jamaldini, Secretary Sports and in-charge BCOC Imran Gichki, Additional IG Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema, Dr Prof Sikandar Sultan, DG Health Dr. Saleem Abro and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
